When it comes to warm-weather dressing, I’m all about the little white dresses! They’re so easy to throw on to wear during the day (and look put together without even trying!), but they’re just as easy to dress up after dark. While I already have a few white eyelet dresses in my closet, I couldn’t resist this dress when I spotted it on Zappos. The voluminous shape makes it extra special and so fun to wear!
When a dress has a lot of volume, it tends to overpower a lot of our frames and we just end up looking like we are swimming in material… You know what I mean? It can be hard to pull off! But this dress is different… The high-low hem shows off more of your legs and the way it’s cut and ever-so-slighty pleated makes it cascade behind you, rather than swallow you! Plus, since the eyelet material is completely sheer, the included slip underneath gives you both coverage and shows a bit of your figure underneath, too. It’s seriously so fun to wear.. And surprisingly flattering for having so much volume! The dropped waist helps to elongate your frame, as well. These simple design details make all of the difference!
Little white dresses are so easy to wear because they’re a blank canvas… The styling options are endless! For a dressier look, I paired the dress with my favorite sandals of the season (that I’ve been wearing non-stop!) and my go-to leopard print clutch. I added a bold red lip to really take the look from day to night! When I was styling this dress, I also loved it with a nude ankle-strap sandal and a bold colorful clutch (like this or this!). And how cute would it be with this pom pom, tassel clutch?!

With a voluminous dress, it’s almost guaranteed that I’ll look short and stocky with a pair of flats or sandals. But again, that high-low hem is a lifesaver! I’d been lusting over these pom-pom sandals for months and knew this would be the perfect dress to show them off. I forgot my jean jacket in the car when we were shooting these photos, but I love this look with a denim jacket over the top! I carried my blush pink clutch, but how cute would it be paired with one of these pom-pom totes for a farmers market run?! Your go-to summer straw tote would be perfect, too! Or even this little wicker crossbody!
