Hello from NYC! It’s been a whirlwind of a few days in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week. On one hand, I feel like I’ve been here for weeks, but on the other, time is flying right on by. I head home to Chicago tomorrow night, which is definitely bittersweet. This is the longest I’ve been able to visit New York (almost a full week!) since I moved to Chicago last summer and it definitely makes me miss calling it home.
I’ll be sharing outfits, a hotel review, and some of the fun from being backstage with Mary Kay throughout NYFW in the days and weeks to come, but until then, I figured I’d leave you with one of my easiest and effortless looks that I’ve worn too many times to count while running around in Chicago.
I picked up this dress when I was in Florence, Italy at COS. Hallie & I first discovered COS when we were in Paris a few years ago and they’ve since opened up a store in Soho in NYC. Sadly, Chicago doesn’t have a location yet, but you can order online from the US. It’s a sister store to H&M, if that helps set the tone for you — Affordably priced, fashion-forward pieces. I find that a lot of the clothes can be a bit androgynous and sometimes lack that feminine shape we all love, but you can still find some really great on-trend pieces!
This t-shirt dress was a no-brainer… I can never get enough navy and white! I love how effortless, easy, and comfortable the dress is. It’s perfect to toss on when you want something flowy and non-fussy that still looks kind of chic. I’ve worn it with my Stan Smiths countless times!
