With Fourth of July weekend creeping up on us, I figured I’d share another dose of Americana outfit inspiration! I’m typically one to wear red, white, and blue outfits all summer long, but the color combination is specifically appropriate over the holiday weekend for cookouts with friends, family BBQs, and fireworks.
I styled this blue and white gingham skirt for a more work-approrpiate setting a few weeks ago, but it’s been on repeat for the weekends, too. Tying a little knot in my tee shirts has been one of my favorite ways to spice up an ordinary look instead of simply tucking my tee into my skirts, shorts, or pants. It’s so nice not to worry about constantly re-tucking, too!
I wore this look a few weekends ago in Chicago for the Old Town Art Fair and it was the perfect casual, breezy outfit for a sunny Saturday out and about.
