Ahhh, Happy SUNDAY, friends! This week was a bit of a crazy one and I so badly wanted to get Friday Finds posted on, you know, Friday, but I had some other deadlines that had to take priority. This week (and weekend) totally flew by, am I right? I was pretty productive all week long, and I finally felt like I was back on my game with workouts, too. I went to Lagree, SoulCycle, Ritual, Deep Stretch at Yoga Six, and even tried a new pilates class at Pilates + Coffee! I went to an informational talk about Transcendental Mediation, spoke at a corporate Macy’s conference about building a personal brand on Instagram, spoke on a panel at an alumni gathering for an organization I was involved with in college, checked out the newly opened Aster Hall, subbed for a friend in their bowling league on Thursday night, and attended a baby shower for one of my girlfriends this weekend. Whew, no wonder why I’m exhausted, haha. Makes a bit more sense when I lay it out like that!
All in all, it was a pretty great week and I’m hoping this coming week follows suit! Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend, friends. See you back here on the blog tomorrow (Monday) for a new What I Wore Last Week post! xx jrs
Here are this week’s finds…
My good friend Kate is in the running for the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest and it would mean the world if you could take a moment to vote for her and her company, Be There in Five. It legit takes no more than 20 seconds to vote!
This is not a drill… I think we’re all going to need these oxfords this spring/summer! So dang cute with dresses, shorts, cropped pants, etc. Depending on how comfortable they are, I think they could be great for summer travel, too. (Sometimes my feet just get wayyyy too hot in sneakers, but sandals don’t always have enough support.)
I bought these $15 sandals before India and wore them non-stop on the trip… To the Taj Mahal, to the pool, every night of wedding festivities (my feet were never showing!) … Beyond versatile and so comfortable.
These photos of Julia and her daughter are SO CUTE!! That skirt and belt combo is everything.
I went to a baby shower yesterday for one of my girlfriends and it was so hard getting dressed for it because it was VERY cold in Chicago this weekend, we’re talking well below freezing and some snow flurries. (Like, come on, tomorrow is April 1st.) I realized that I should probably have a few more transitional dresses in my closet that feel sort of springy, but work with tight and booties. Winter to spring transition can be tough! (This is the dress I ended up wearing!) And here are a few other favorites I found…
How darling is this wicker bangle?
How fun is this egg chair for an outdoor patio?!
Elevated-looking white pumps are hard to find, but I’m loving this woven pair for spring! Perfect for the office.
These cute slides are identical to the Prada bow mules, but they’re under $80!
How cute are these pointed-toe bow mules?! On sale, too!
This pasta sweatshirt is adorbs.
As you might have seen from this post, I’ve had to move my bedroom floor length mirror temporarily into my living room. I’ve been hunting for a floor length for the living room and have been loving these styles… Golden Beaded Floor Mirror, Balboa Floor Mirror, Bellevue Floor Mirror, Bone Inlay Floor Mirror, Oversized Metal Frame Floor Mirror, Regular Sized Metal Frame Mirror
I’ve been lusting over breezy summer dresses lately and here’s what I’ve currently got in my shopping carts… THIS STRIPED DRESS. I wanted a similar style of this dress all season long last year, but I never went ahead and bought it. This is the year! The fit reminds me so much of this one that I’ve worn a million times, so I know I’ll wear it and re-wear it over and over again. THIS MIDI DRESS WITH THE POMS. I love all three colors of this one (can’t go wrong with black or white), but I realllllly love the warm caramel color! The fit is perfectly breezy and the tiny details make it so special. THIS SMOCKED DRESS. The print, the fit, the beautiful colors, the trendy smocking… I want to wear this all spring and summer long! THIS RED MINI. Again, after posting this Instagram this week, I’ve been wanting to wear all things red. And the fit of this little side-tie number seems like it would be so perfect for piping hot summer days! THIS RUFFLED DRESS. I included this printed maxi in my Friday Finds a few weeks ago, but it’s currently 40% off so I figured it was worth re-sharing. Both the black and white and the red versions are gorgeous, and the swingy silhouette mixed with the cotton fabric has summer written all over it.
