Friday Finds || Vol. 3, Week 4

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’re having a great week and looking forward to the weekend ahead. It’s been a pretty exciting week over here, albeit a very crazy one. I’ll explain more at another time (it’s a long story), but in a weird turn of events, I got my old Chicago apartment back this week! I haven’t moved back in, as I’ve been trying to have a “normal” work week and have a busy weekend ahead, but I’ll be heading down to my hometown on Sunday to pack up my car and drive back up to move in on Monday or Tuesday this coming week. This was so unexpected, but it’s all working out so seamlessly!

Last night, a few friends and I went to MØ’s performance at Soho House here in Chicago, which was SO much fun! Tonight, we’re celebrating one of my college girlfriends’ birthdays with cocktails at The Office. And tomorrow, I’ve got a joint birthday party for two of my other girlfriends. There’s much to celebrate and lots to look forward to!

Here are this week’s finds…

I was running errands with a friend earlier this week and she needed to run into Sephora, so I was just wandering around and decided to smell some different perfumes. I’ve shared my favorite fragrances in this post, and as I mentioned in that post, I have to stock up on my perfume any time that I’m in London, so I haven’t perfume shopped in a few years, at least. I found two new-to-me scents that I love, though! First was a newer version of Gucci Bloom, Gucci Bloom Nettare Di Fiori (with the dark purple label). It was amazing, and it has top notes of rose, so it’s no surprise I like it!

And I hadn’t smelled the newest Chloe fragrance, Chloe Nomade, and actually liked it, too. (I’ve worn two other Chloe scents in the past — Chloe & Chloe Roses!) I really only wear rose scents these days and am super picky about smells, so I was quite surprised that I liked this one!

Speaking of roses, it’s this time of year that I always buy a new Diptyque candle! I’ve briefly talked about it here and here on the blog, but every year (just in time for Valentine’s Day), Diptyque releases a new limited-edition candle. It’s always a rose-based fragrance (my fave!) and always in such a fun jar! And this year, they actually released TWO! Damascena & Centifolia

If you follow along on Instagram Stories, you might have seen me post about the funniest piece of lingerie I found on Nordstrom! 😂 I’m always searching for a well-placed bow, but this thing was next level… I was dying when I found it. And then someone sent me this video by DM and we were laughing SO HARD watching it. It’s guys trying on lingerie and their commentary is great.

I also really resonated with this video… It’s kind of woo-woo about the moon, eclipses, and the energy coming into this year, but I enjoyed it and really felt everything she was talking about!

I’m OBSESSED with this ric rac bathing suit! It’s a must-order for me.

I haven’t had the chance to listen to any episodes yet, but one of my girlfriends just told me about a podcast called The Mentor Files!
