Happy Friday, my friends! I’m up early and headed to Cartegena this morning for a little “side trip” with most of my Remote Year group. Cartagena has been on my bucket list forever, and since most of the group is going, and a ton of people have friends visiting, it should be a lot of fun! Probably too much fun… haha (We’re staying at Casa en el Aqua on Sunday, which looks insane!) Accommodations are a hodge podge of things all over the place… An AirBNB for the first two nights, then out to Casa, then back in a mansion we found for one night, and then another hotel the last few nights. It’s going to make for a lot of moving around (I’m hoping I packed light enough!), but at least I’ll have all sorts of recommendations for anyone who’s looking to travel to Cartagena soon. Follow along on Instagram, I’ll definitely be posting stories! xoxo JRS
Here are this week’s finds…
I was CRYING watching Migos on Carpool Karaoke. CRY-ING. Please watch it, it will make your whole damn weekend. 😂 (And watch it ’til the very end. Promise me.)
Mercury Retrograde begins today for the next three weeks. Check out this survival guide with lots of great tips!
This sparkly headband is a holiday season must-have!
I can’t believe it’s been snowing so much already in Chicago, NYC, etc. (Not at all sad to be missing it, that’s for sure!) I found these cute snowboots that are equal parts functional and fashionable.
This jewel-toned clutch (under $100) is another (somewhat unexpected) accessory that’s perfect for the holidays and beyond. Looks so much more expensive than it is! I also really love this leopard one, if you’re into animal print as much as I am. Or this red and pink color-blocked one is also fun!
IS THIS LIVING ROOM REAL LIFE?!?! OMG. Obsessed. Moving in when I get back to the states, hope you’re okay with that, Mads. (I met Madison at Ashley‘s bachelorette party last winter and she’s an absolute gem — great style and an even better personality! You definitely need to follow her.)
I’m loving these calf hair leopard booties with a subtle nod to the western footwear trend. I have the exact same pair in black leather (see them styled here!) and they are superrrrr comfy and so versatile, too!
This long shearling coat is F.A.B.
This designer’s beanies are pricey, but they are so freaking chic! I love this rainbow one so, so, so much. The perfect pop for the dreary winter season, and it goes with almost everything! I would also killlllll to have this orange & blue one for Illini games.
Oh. Em. Gee. A glittery blowdryer!!
I absolutely need this turtleneck sweater. The red color is so festive, but would work well into the new year, too!
