Friday Finds || Vol. 2, Week 18

Hellooooo from Chicago! I feel like I’ve been gone for-ev-er. Japan was so much fun, but since we’d both been before (a short 18 months ago) we thought the trip felt a little bit on the long side this time around. I’m sure a big part was because I was so sick for the first ten days… I finally started to feel a bit better on Sunday, just as we got to Osaka. (Which was great timing, as it was my first time in Osaka!) After Osaka, we made our way to the Izu Peninsula for a night and before flying back to the US. I got back to Chicago last night and it felt so good to be home… I unpacked and got all of my laundry done, went to a deep stretch yoga class, got my favorite Sweetgreen salad, did two face masks, took a bath, and got to sleep in my own bed! Today and tomorrow won’t as relaxing… I’ve got quite the lengthy to-do list before I fly out again on Sunday. (Why do I do this to myself with back-to-back trips?! haha) When I get back next week, I’m seriously putting myself on a major travel hiatus except for weddings, bachelorette parties, and quick weekend trips for the foreseeable future. (More on that to come.)

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to squeeze in any shenanigans for the Derby this weekend or not. TBD! Hopefully you’ve got something fun planned to celebrate. 🙂
