It was love at first sight when I saw this dress at Nordstrom! The feminine fit and flare shape… the subdued ruffles at the hem, collar, and sleeves… the black velvet bow at the waist… It’s absolutely perfect for the holidays and beyond. If you’ve got a fancy cocktail party coming up, a winter wedding, or even fun plans for New Years Eve, this bow-tied dress works for most all occasions!
Every year around the holidays, I feel like I always splurge on a fun Kate Spade dress. (Remember this dress and this skirt?) The festive designs with feminine touches (like bows and ruffles) are right up my alley for more formal winter parties and events! Navy dresses can be tricky in terms of tights, so I love how this dress has the black bow and ruffle detailing. I wore it sans stockings (and subsequently froze my fanny off), but it would look just as cute with a sheer or opaque pair of black tights!
If splurging on a Kate Spade dress isn’t in your holiday budget this year, you have to see this dress that’s under $150! It’s so cute and comes in both navy and red. (And also a similar version in black!) I love how it’s not seasonally specific (i.e. no velvet) and would really work year round for weddings and events! (Work functions, too!)
I got these Kate Spade bow pumps years ago and they’re still my favorites to bring out around the holidays! Sadly, there’s not a similar style out right now, but I found lots of cute options at Nordstrom for sporting bows on your toes… All different price points, too! How fun are these?! And this pair is perfect for the office!
I’ve been wearing these Loren Hope earrings with everything lately for a little touch of sparkle!
