Stripes on Stripes

I shared this striped dress on the blog a few weeks ago, but I’ve been getting so much wear out of it and it’s currently on major sale so I had to post it again! Anthropologie is having their summer tag sale and all sale items are an extra 30% off, so this dress comes out to be a mere $69. (Pretty good for originally being $188!) It’s available in all sizes so jump on it! For reference, I’m wearing a size 4.

I would have never thought to pair this striped bag with this dress, but it was a happy accident! I picked up this dress in Santa Barbara and only had two bags with me… this striped tote and my black Gucci bag. The black bag would have been perfect for a dressed up dinner look, but I was headed out of a daytime activity and felt like it was too small and dressy. I picked up this striped bag and was shocked by how I actually liked the stripes together! You can see my Instagram here, but I knew I had to re-wear the outfit (switched up my hat) when I was back in Chicago.

The fit of this dress is really fun… Instead of being your typical cinched-waist sleeveless dress, the top actually fits almost like a cut-off tank with low arm holes. It’s got a built-in cami slip underneath so you’ve got the look of a little crochet dress over a slip, but it’s just one piece.
