Mad for Plaid

I mentioned this in my post this morning, but Zara has been crushing it lately. I couldn’t believe that this dress was under $50! I’ve always been mad for plaid and I love how this slip dress is so versatile for layering this holiday season. Slipping a black turtleneck under my dresses has long been one of my stay-warm tricks in the winter (previoius outfits here, here, here, & here), but I love how this cami-style injects a little bit more of that 90’s feel that feels current right now.

I removed the fur collar from this jacket (last worn here!) and finished off the look with simple black accessories. I’m all for dressing preppy, don’t get me wrong. But it can be challenging to wear plaid without that head-to-toe East-coast vibe! (I love that look, mind you.) It was fun styling this plaid dress a little bit different than the norm… A little bit more New York vs Nantucket, you know?
