One of my favorite ways to put my spin on an outfit is with a little juxtaposition. I love pairing feminine dresses with borrowed-from-the-boys jackets and accessories. An androgynous shirtdress with a pair of bow-tied pumps. A girly dress with sporty sneakers. A sexy dress with something a bit heavier and covered up. You get the idea… It’s all about the unexpected mix!
I last wore this little lace dress with a white vest for a girls night in NYC and recently wore it again with one of my favorite suede moto jackets. I think the boxy suede jacket offsets the little lace dress just enough to make it appropriate enough to wear during the day, as well as date night or an evening out with the girls!
