The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New York always feels like the unofficial summer kick-off! For the past few years, it’s always been such a fun excuse to dress up and drink champagne and rosé all day long with my girlfriends. I went back and forth about flying back for it this year, but I’m so glad Hallie and I made the (very) quick weekend trip. It’s going to be an annual reunion!
Also, a little side note about this dress: I am obsessed! The ruffled neckline is so flattering, as is the fit and flare shape. However, it’s true color is reflected in the actual photos from the polo match. It’s much prettier than it looks in most of these photos! The blue color has more of a purple-ish tint than the photos reflect when I re-shot it in Chicago with my photographer because of lighting, her editing, etc.
I was planning to take outfit photos at the actual match in the rosé garden (it was so, so pretty!), but before I knew it, we’d all split quite a few of bottles of rosé and by the time we tried to pull it together to snap a few, the pictures were an absolute joke. 😂
