I know we chatted a whole lot of beauty yesterday (Don’t forget to shop Sephora’s Beauty Insider promotion — 20% off with code VIB20!), but I wanted to share my latest eye cream obsession. Sephora doesn’t carry Kiehl’s, but I purchase it at Nordstrom, which is another one of my favorite retailers for beauty and skincare!
I’ve been using Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for the last month or so and I’m obsessed! Keeping my undereye area hydrated is super important to me for quite a few reasons — You look so much more awake when your skin is hydrated, including that delicate undereye area. I tend to not sleep as much as I should so I’m always looking for look-more-awake tips and tricks! I’m also right around that age where wrinkles are going to start rolling in pretty soon… Gotta fend them off, you know?
It’s seriously the thickest, most hydrating eye cream I’ve ever used. Don’t let the thickness scare you away, I use it both morning and night. It works really well as a ‘primer’ of sorts before I apply my undereye concealer. I tend to have sensitive skin around my eyes (not really the rest of my face) and it’s never been irritating at all!
My one concern is that it doesn’t have any anti-aging properties to it, it’s just hydrates and hydrates well. But I’m thinking of finding another eye cream and rotating between the two. But it’s hard because I never want to not use this one!
You’ll notice that it doesn’t mix well with water… Your skin and fingers need to be completely dry before applying. I don’t really know how to explain it, but you’ll know exactly what I mean if your hands are moist.
It’s not drugstore pricing by any means, but it’s really reasonable compared to a lot of other eye creams out there. Plus, there’s a ton of gifts with purchase going on right now!
Have you tried it? And if so, what did you think? If not, what is your favorite eye cream? I’m always looking for new ones to try!
FYI: This is in no way a sponsored post. I bought the smaller size of the eye cream and will definitely be purchasing the jumbo jar when this one runs out!
