After a fun and relaxing (and really freaking hot) week in Palm Springs, Iโm currently en route back to NYC. Two more weeks, you guys. I canโt believe how fast time is flying! Iโve got 13 more days to pack up my entire apartment and make the most out of my last few weeks as a Manhattanite.
Over the last week, New York has officially started in with the hot and sticky humidity. (Or so my friends tell meโฆ Iโm in for a real treat when I land at JFK tonight.) Yikes! Over the next few weeks, I full intend on dressing comfortably while taking advantage of my city. Thereโs really no other way when itโs so warm in a concrete jungle!
If youโre visiting New York over the summer, this look is great for exploring! An easy, cotton dress with comfortable sandals and a backpack or crossbody to keep your hands free is essential. Iโve always been more of a crossbody gal, but with the current โathleisureโ trend and Hallieโs constant carrying of a back pack, I decided to pick up a tan leather backpack for running around the city and weekend travel.
I got both my sandals and my backpack from Zappos. And they have plenty of similar easy-fit dresses to choose from, too. One stop shop!
These sandals are so funโฆ The perfect little statement sandal. Theyโre more dressed up than your average cognac leather sandals, but theyโre perfectly easy to dress down with a casual outfit like this one. They just add a little pizazz!
