Well, as I’m writing this post and the thermometer reads 10 degrees (feels like -4*), I think it’s pretty obvious that these photos were taken pre-arctic blast! Bare legs are a thing of the past.
I bought this Kate Spade full floral skirt a little while ago because I just couldn’t resist the mix pretty colors in the print. I love how it’s a darker floral skirt that’s perfect for the winter months, but it incorporates little pops of hot pink, bright yellow, lime green, and electric blue.
Whenever I’m spending a bit more on a piece, I always challenge myself to find quite a few ways to wear it! If I can’t think of numerous outfits and occasions, I can’t keep it. Let’s just say that this skirt passed the test! (And before we move on, I should tell you that it’s on MAJOR sale!)
It’s safe to say that this is one of the more versatile printed skirts I have in my closet! There are seemingly endless color combinations you can wear on top… peach, lavender, pink, periwinkle, purple, baby blue, royal blue, citrus yellow, fuchsia, a bright chartreuse, cream, gray, black, so many shades of green… you name it! I’ll be wearing this little lady for many years to come.

Love this skirt! I have a plain black skirt that’s a similar length. I feel like it doesn’t look good with tights, way too covered up with a long-ish skirt and tights but maybe there is a way to wear this in the winter months that I’m not thinking of. Any recommendations of how to style that length skirt when it’s too cold for bare legs?
I know what you mean! What about a pair of crochet tights (love these.. http://www.wearcommando.com/collections/legwear/products/everyday-crochet) or a pair of suede Over-The-Knee boots? I think diversifying the textures is key to not looking too covered up!
Great ideas, thanks Jessica!
I love how you’ve styled this skirt! My favorite is with the black crop top and simple black heels…stunning with the statement necklace!

I like look #3 with the black top! I do the same thing before purchasing an investment piece, it has to be versatile so that I get my money’s worth! That skirt is definitely a worth-while purchase 🙂

I like how you mixed in different tops, but what about adding some subtle polka dots or stripes? Nothing too crazy. Love the pink combo the best!
Love the color palette here! Classy look 🙂
I dig it.
