Florida… Finally!

I love Harry Potter. The books, the movies, everything. You may think I am a complete nerd, but that’s okay with me. For my 21st birthday (last August 31st) Matt surprised me with a trip to Florida to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Best.Surprise.Ever. (I’m telling you–he’s a keeper!) But with his work schedule and me having school, we weren’t able to go until a couple of weeks ago. We left for Orlando two days after I got back from Vegas. (See? I wasn’t kidding about my life being a whirldwind.) We spent two nights in Orlando to go to Harry Potter. We then headed to Cocoa Beach, Florida for another three nights before flying back to Chicago for the Cubs game.

I had such an amazing time pretending I wasn’t a muggle. We went into Olivander’s, had lunch at Three Broomsticks, had a beer at Hogs Head Pub, sipped on Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice, and much more! It was so fun! I had very high expectations for this place and it went above and beyond those expectations. Props to Universal Studios! (Note: I may or may not have bought a wand.)

We stayed at a hotel right on the beach in Cocoa Beach and it was quite relaxing! It was a wonderful vacation all around and was well worth the wait!
