Friday Finds || Vol. 3, Week 5

Honey, I’m hoooomeeeeee! But like, for real. I moved back into my ‘old’ apartment in Chicago on Tuesday, the one I used to live in before I took off on Remote Year. It’s been a whirlwind of a week, but with the insane temperatures, it’s been pretty low key and it’s been nice to have some down time (and some solo time) while settling back into the swing of things.

Also, can we talk for a second about how it’s FEBRUARY?! I honestly feel like just last week I was sitting writing this post and this post Colorado. Since I’ve been in a constant state of transition the past five weeks since I got back from Remote Year, things have really flown right on by. A few days here, a week here, a few more days here… It’s been go-go-go, from one place to the next, and I’m so happy to be able to stay in one spot (my spot) for a while. 🙌🏼

With the Superbowl on Sunday and going to a concert with some friends tonight, it’s bound to be a fun weekend! AND it’s supposed to be pretty warm, so you *know* I’m going to get myself out on that lakefront path for a walk. First one in ~7 months! (Can you tell I’m loving all of these “firsts,” haha?) Honestly though, how can it be a windchill of NEGATIVE 50 and then a high of 50 DEGREES in the same week? Confused, haha.

I had some time in the car this week while I was moving back and forth so here’s what I enjoyed listening to… Ed Mylett on The Skinny Confidential (#160), and then Teddi Mellencamp’s episode on The Ed Mylett Show! I loved both the Insecurity episode and the Rockstar Lifestyle episode on DeeTour. Some of this episode was a little bit dry and condescending for me, but I did enjoy the beginning bits about Saturn’s Return, probably because I’m very much going through mine currently. (We Met at ACME with Aliza Kelly)
