I got this striped, ruffled, daisy-printed top just before my trip to Japan and it was perfect to throw on with a pair of white jeans for a day of visiting temples in Kyoto! The top itself has a lot going on so I kept everything else in the same color family… a red-orange lip, white sunglasses and statement earrings, and simple leather sandals and a rattan bag.
Hope your Monday is off to a great start, friends! I’m home from Europe and looking forward to a very productive and active week ahead. After non-stop travel for the last five weeks, my body is craving lots of sweaty workouts and finally getting back on my yoga mat. And I’m excited to crank out all of the content I’ve been capturing over the last few weeks, too.
On our last full day in Kyoto, we visited the beautiful Golden Temple (Kinkaku-ji) and wandered to a few smaller shrines in the area within walking distance after. We also discovered a cafe with almond milk, which was VERY exciting after 12 days, ha! (Latte Art Junkies is the name.)
We cabbed back to Gion to the Yasaka Shrine and caught a glimpse of a traditional Japanese wedding procession, which was pretty special to see! (I think it’s common to see these on Saturday afternoons, so take note if you’re planning a trip.)
We then stumbled upon THE BEST sushi spot for lunch, Imai. It was a set menu and we were the last guests so we basically had a private dining experience with the chef! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner. The fish was incredible and the tiny little shop with stark interiors was gorgeous.
