Friday Finds || Vol. 2, Week 11

Jessica Sturdy reviews helicopter tour in Queensland, Australia

Happy Friday! Just me, or was this the longest week of all time? Blame it on Daylight Savings Time or the fact that I have not been sleeping that well lately, but I’ve just been exhausted this entire week. But I will say, the extra hour of daylight has been so nice. And even though it’s been freezing in Chicago, at least it’s been sunny blue skies! That always helps me out when I’m feeling tired.

Like I mentioned last week, I went home last weekend to spend time with my 5 year old niece and 3 month old nephew (and the rest of my family, too! ha). It was SUCH a fun weekend getting to spend time with them, and so hard to say goodbye. I feel like they grow up so much in the weeks that I don’t see them! I’ve heard moms say this before, but I never really understood it until experiencing it with my brother’s kids, but I feel like being with them always makes me put things into perspective and remember what truly matters. Spending time with them always makes any other stressful thing in my life seem so much less significant. Does that make sense?

This weekend is a bit of a different itinerary though! I’m currently writing this from 30,000 feet on my way to Cabo for my friend Ashley‘s wedding. SO EXCITED! It’s a short weekend trip, but it will so nice to get some fresh (not-freezing) air and soak up some sunshine with a great group of people. Be sure to follow along on Instagram stories for real-time updates this weekend!

Now for this week’s finds…

The 411 on Crystals

Lilly Pulitzer just launched collections for Pottery Barn, PB Teen, and Pottery Barn Kids! So much colorful, cute stuff… Especially for the kiddos!

I picked this OPI color for my mani/pedi yesterday and I’m obsessed! So bright and fun… Perfect for a weekend getaway to Mexico!

Mackenzie’s wedding video had me in tears!

The Tuckernuck new arrivals have me like 😍

You know how much I RAVED about these joggers over the winter. I’m super interested in getting this lighter set for spring!

Loving this cropped workout tee to pair with high-waisted leggings!

Still obsessed with this new sunscreen! (On my second bottle already…)

I got a few pieces from this new collection at Nordstrom this week! I’ll be wearing a few of them in Mexico… Stay tuned.

The Gucci Museo was one of my favorite things in Florence… Can’t wait to check out this new Garden restaurant next time I’m in town!

Also can’t wait to try Radio Anago in Chicago!

Loving Chriselle’s collection for JOA! So many cute pieces for spring and summer.

Amy & Wade’s house is seriously just #GOALS.

7 Picturesque Photo Locations in Paris

How cute is this little wicker wristlet? It’s under $30!

I think these sandals are so fun!

I seriously want everything new at Revolve… It’s a problem.

I need this dress STAT. Hallie just got the jumpsuit version and I’m obsessed.

Having a moment with Loeffler Randall’s spring collection… I love these striped straw slides, these silver slides with a mini heel, this blue and white pair, and this ruffled pink pair!

I ordered this book this week and can’t wait to dive in.

Speaking of books, I started Eat Pray Love when I was in Australia and I couldn’t love it more so far. (I’m about a third of the way through… She just left Italy.) I remember when all of the hype was around this book, but I’m glad I waited until now to read it, simply based on where I am in my life. I totally believe that books find you at the right time… I was browsing a bookstore in Airlie Beach and for whatever reason, it seemed to jump off the shelf at me. Anyway — I love the book, but it’s totally not what I was expected. I think I was expecting it to be kind of sad and sappy, but guys — she is hysterical. I feel like we have very similar senses of humor and I find myself laughing out loud every few pages.

And as a final tidbit this week… You have to listen to my friend Kate’s podcast! Kate started Be There in Five (you’ve definitely seen her doormats on Pinterest) when she was in NYC and now lives in Chicago with her husband. We grabbed dinner this week (Mexican at New Rebozo… So good!) and it was so fun to catch up with her. Isn’t it the best feeling when you connect with like-minded people? We’re sort of in similar points in our careers… (Experienced a happy accident with a passion project taking off and now wondering how things will evolve next.) Outside of her products, she does business consulting, and recently launched a podcast, too. (And if you aren’t following her Instagram stories, you’re missing out! haha) She’s so business savvy, creative, witty, and extremely funny!
