Gucci Gang

Everyone and their mom has this Gucci belt, and I’m on the bandwagon, too… But I swear it’s for good reason! I absolutely love the way that it dresses up (and breaks up) an all black outfit. Because let’s be honest, that’s usually what you can find me in whenever I’m just “throwing something on” this deep into winter. (I know, I switched it up and went with dark grey jeans in this outfit… #gettingwild)

It’s so cute belted over coats and blazers, with jeans and a bodysuit for a ‘going out’ look, or simply to show your shape a bit more by front-tucking a sweater.

Originally, I ordered this smaller size because I thought it would be a little less flashy. But to be totally honest, I thought it was just a bit too small when paired with dark colors and heavy fabrics. So I ordered this larger size and haven’t looked back!

However, I do think the smaller size (especially in the nude color!) would be perfect for shorts, white denim, and lighter fabrics this summer! But for my personal styling solutions this winter, the larger size with black leather is perfect.

And if you want something that’s even more jazzy, you could go for the pearl option. I’m obsessed, but I decided on the classic. (And couldn’t find the pearl in the bigger size.) I love how the pearl version is less overdone, and it’s extra cute if you wear a lot of white! (And I already know I’ll want this cognac leather one when fall hits and I’m wearing more blue denim, hunter green, camel, and navy… Ugh, slippery slope. #GottaCatchEmAll) That’s a total joke, obviously — both the Pokemon reference and needing multiple Gucci belts. Two, max (in my opinion), or every outfit will look the same!

A little note on sizing, I tried both the 80 and the 85 and went with the 80! It fits me at both my waist and lower on my hips, depending on where my jeans hit. The 85 obviously fit, too, but there was way too much extra belt hanging off when it was at the smaller part of my waist! (For reference, I’m a 27 in jeans.)

Happy to try and answer any other sizing questions! I know that was my biggest dilemma when I was researching before buying.

I took 85 one and it was a perfect choice, I can wear it on my hips and on my waist if I’m using it over a bit thicker coat/ faux fur jacket.
You are looking fantastic in this minimalistic outfit. 🙂
