Gift Guide #11: Coffee Connoisseurs & Espresso Enthusiasts

Jessica Sturdy shares the best gifts for the coffee lovers and espresso enthusiasts on your shopping list.

It might be you or maybe someone on your shopping list this year, but we all know someone who prefers not to speak until they’ve had their morning coffee! This used to be me on the regular, but I try to opt for water before I have my coffee nowadays. Some days it happens, some days it doesn’t. I’ve shared my love for my Nespresso machine a million times or more and who doesn’t love a cute coffee mug? But I’ve got a few more ideas that support (local) small businesses… Keep on scrolling!

1. Make Mine a Double Travel Mug  |  2. Coffee Pajama Set  |  3. Copper French Press  |  4. Nespresso VertuoLine Machine  |  5. The Barista’s Bible Book  |  6. Runs on Coffee Ornament  |  7. More Issues Than Vogue Mug  |  8. Where to Drink Coffee Book  |  9. Buffalo Plaid Coffee Mug Set  |  10. But First, Coffee Travel Mug  |  11. Minipresso Travel Espresso Maker  |  12. I Love You a Latté Espresso Spoon  |  13. Love Coffee Pajama Pants  |  14. But First, Coffee Pen

If you’re looking for a unique gift for the coffee lover on your list, you should definitely check out Sputnik Roasters! A friend of mine from college (University of Illinois!) recently started a coffee roasting company in Chicago and I met up with him at The Winchester a few weeks ago to learn more and try the coffee. The coffee is great and it’s *insanely* affordable — only $6 a bag! (They have tea, too.) I love that it’s small batch… No mass production. You’re pretty much always getting coffee that was roasted within the last few days… It doesn’t get more fresh than that! As I mentioned in this post, I’m always looking to support local, small businesses… Especially around the holidays. (And bonus points for supporting friends and fellow U of I grads!) Use code BOWS for 10% off! (There’s a holiday box for under $30!) Let me know if you place an order, would love to hear your thoughts once you try it!

Another friend of mine here in Chicago started Javaya! It’s similar in the sense that you’re getting super fresh coffee directly from the roasters, but you can shop all of your favorite local roasters on one site… Big Shoulders, Gas Light, Metropolis, etc.

I know I’ve mentioned these collagen peptides that I put in my coffee (or smoothie) every morning, but the same company just launched flavored dairy-free Collagen Creamer! I haven’t tried it yet, but as a coffee connoisseur, it’s on my list.

Another cool gift idea would be a monthly subscription with Atlas Coffee Club!

I love this gift guide! As a coffee addict myself, I’d be happy to find any of these under the Christmas tree, especially that copper french press!
