When I arrived back in Chicago to much cooler temps from Europe, it was a sobering reminder that fall is on the way. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some fall clothing and the cool breeze has been a breath of fresh air, but it’s always kind of sad to see summer go… Especially this early! The past few years in Chicago, we’ve gotten a late start to summer weather, but the warm days lasted well into the fall. We got lucky with an early start to summer this year, but I guess that means fall is going to come right on time, too. Perhaps the silver lining is that we’ll get a true fall season that lasts more than a week or two?! Wishful thinking!
Fall fashion is usually my favorite, but I’m no where near being ready for sweater weather. Jumpsuits are everywhere right now and they’re such an easy way to transition from summer to fall! The wide-leg styles are almost as breezy as a dress, but they give you a bit more coverage. And they’re so easy to wear under a denim jacket or leather moto for those cool nights and brisk mornings! I just picked up this shimmery jumpsuit and it’s perfect for a plethora of occasions.. Date night, GNO, rehearsal dinners, and even fancy brunches! I plan on layering a turtleneck and tights underneath for holiday festivities… You can’t go wrong, especially for $79.

Saying moto jackets are trending for fall is sort of like saying florals are popular in spring fashion… Ground breaking. 😉 But it’s no secret that they are the ultimate transition piece! There are a surplus of super cute (and affordable!) moto jackets right now and I want them all. I picked up three suede moto jackets during last month’s Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom and I know I’ll be wearing them all winter long. Pair them over your favorite jumpsuits and dresses, or wear them with skinny jeans and a pretty top underneath. Styling options are endless! Chic on the Cheap
Jumpsuits that show my high heels is a must for spring/fall. If the jumpsuit can’t show my sandals its too long. As for yours I love it. That one is 10.
