Kicking Off the Summer in NYC

As soon as the days get sunnier, I start to slip into that oh-so-sweet summer state of mind! Longer days and warmer weather always lead to spontaneous plans… Everyone seems to be in a better mood and has a more carefree spirit, and that’s what makes this season my favorite. You cant beat those unexpected nights and unforgettable days!

I’m partnering with Malibu Rum this summer to celebrate the best season of the year. Their #BecauseSummer campaign is all about enjoying every one of the 16 weeks of summer and fully embracing your summer self…. Something we can all get behind, no? Especially here in Chicago!

I flew to NYC last Wednesday to kick off the season with an impromptu party at Tiki Tabu! Because, why not?! #JetSetJRS I had so much fun spending a few days in New York and wandering around my old stopping grounds on the Lower East Side. The weather couldn’t have been better and it was just what I needed to start channeling that summertime feeling!

We sipped on coconut cocktails and danced the night away while Snakehips dropped the beats. The DJ duo was a complete surprise and I was SO giddy when they came out! If you haven’t been to Tiki Tabu yet, you have to swing by this summer. Located on the 7^th floor of the Sixty LES hotel, you’ll find the cutest pineapple wallpaper and epic views of both uptown and downtown! Instaworthy, that’s for sure. Malibu truly brought the beach to the borough!
