Thinking of Spring

It’s time to brighten it up a little bit! I’m headed to Cabo on Sunday (yes, with the boot 🙈👢) and I’m so looking forward to some sunshine. While this hasn’t been that bad of a winter temperature-wise in Chicago, I can literally count on one hand the number of days that the sun has shined in the last few months. It’s been kind of depressing, to say the least. I can hardly wait to feel that warm breeze! I stopped by Old Navy last week to grab a few beach-inspired pieces that I’ll be able to wear this spring, as well on my trip. I found lots of outfit inspiration and went home with a lot more than I planned to!

I took Snapchat along for the ride during my Old Navy shopping trip because there were so, so many cute finds for spring! (The new denim collection is amazing… I seriously got 4 pairs. These, these, these, and these.) I couldn’t resist sharing in real-time instead of having to wait to style, photograph and publish the blog posts. I spent much more than I intended to, but I couldn’t say no to the good deals. Plus, a little retail therapy is pretty much needed this time of year!

I couldn’t pass up the lace-up detailing on the striped shirt I’m wearing! I also bought this embroidered striped top… It’s perfect with white or colored denim, but I’ll be pairing it with jean shorts in Cabo! These printed sneakers were a major score, too. They’re so fun to wear with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, and even shorts this summer! They’re perfect for pairing with brights or even print mixing with stripes.

I have a camel cardigan that I’ve been wearing on Snapchat a lot lately that I keep getting asked about. I picked it up at Old navy back in August or September during back-to-school season, but this one is a very similar shape if you’re looking for one! I feel like I need it, too.

PS: Did you know Old Navy is crushing the sunglasses game lately?! I got these mirrored aviators and almost walked out with quite a few more pairs. I have such a thing for inexpensive sunglasses… I love how I can swim with them, don’t have to worry about losing them, and can switch them up with whatever I’m wearing! Here are a few of my favorites… And they’re all $12!
