Another day, another pleated skirt. While I’m always a fan of a cute above-the-knee skirt, I’ve been gravitating more towards pleated midi skirts this fall. (Recent outfits here & here!) I saw this colorblocked black and navy skirt at Nordstrom for a great price ($65!) and had to have it. I love pieces that seamlessly blend black and navy and I can’t wait to wear it with these booties I picked up before London & Paris!
Instead of my trusty blazers, I’ve also been loving bomber jackets as an updated alternative this fall. I love how they’re more laid back and a little bit sporty, too. Even though I was apparently a fan of sequins when I started this blog back in 2010, I rarely ever wear anything with sequins anymore. (This dressย is the only one that comes to mind over the last few years!) But when I saw this sequin bomber jacket, I thought it was so fun. Plus, it pairs perfectly with my pleated skirt. I also love this striped sequin jacket and this ombre one, too.
A few more bomber jackets I’ve got my eye on… This one, this one, this one, and this one are at the top of my wish list!
Since this outfit is mostly dark blue and black and pretty covered up, it looked best when styled with a crop top for a little sliver of skin versus a regular tee. I’ve talked about this before, but wearing crop tops with high-waisted skirtsย makes everything so much easier. No need to worry about tucking in all day!
