Snail Mail has always been my favorite kind of mail. Long before the days of text messages, Snapchats, tweets and emails, my middle school girlfriends and I used to send each other letters in the mail even though we lived in the same town. Sure, we talked on the landline every night, but we sent each other notes through the post office simply because it was fun to get mail. And while I was so upset when my childhood friend moved away in 4th grade, I was excited about finally having a “pen pal.” Honestly, not much has changed in my snail mail mentality. I still get extremely overjoyed from both sending and receiving snail mail!
I’ve long had a penchant for stationery stores and I could literally spend hours in Papyrus if I didn’t make myself go in with a time limit. (True story! A pre-determined budget for spending, too.) Thank you notes, greeting cards, even cute gift-giving essentials like cute bags, tags, and tissue paper… I always feel the need to stock up!
When I learned that Lela Rose was collaborating with Papyrus, I knew I had to share! It’s probably one of the most glamorous sets of stationery I’ve seen yet. The set of 16 cards is absolutely stunning… Gorgeous illustrations, bright colors, embellished details, and touchable textures, too. Each card is like a piece of art… They’re definitely the type of cards that you keep out on display once you receive! Check out the full collection here!
Lela Rose has forever been one of my favorite designers to wear and also one of my favorite shows every season during NYFW! (Did you know you can shop her styles on Rent the Runway, too?) Much like how I think of my personal style, Lela is known for her bright colors and feminine touches. There’s never a shortage of beautifully textured fabrics, feminine fits, bold colors, and breathtaking embellishments!
Here are some of my favorite looks that walked down the “runway” yesterday in New York…

After seeing the show yesterday, it’s easy to see that some of Lela Rose’s Papyrus designs were inspired by the Spring/Summer 2017 collection that was just presented!
If the fashion-forward designs weren’t enough, the scalloped envelope edges make me smile every time, too! Everything about the collection is overflowing with elegant extras… The whole collection is beyond luxe!
I actually got to go to one of my NYC friends’ baby showers when I was in town this past weekend and the new Lela Rose x Papyrus giftbag was too perfect… It matched my outfit to a T and was so cute that I wouldn’t have minded actually using it as a handbag!
Zara Top (also love this one!), J.Crew Skirt (old, similar here!), Susi Studio Heels (similar available here, too!)

Love how I’m not the only one who still writes letters! I always am thrilled when I find a letter from a friend or family member in the mail!

Those dresses and those cards are stunning works of art! Receiving a hand-written note or card really is special, especially now that it’s not the norm!

Agree, I’m all about the snail mail! I am pen pals with the mom of a co-worker who lives less than 3 miles away.
