All good beauty routines have to start with skincare. Especially as I’ve gotten older, taking care of my skin has been one of my top priorities. Not only does your skincare regimen set the stage for your makeup application, but your skin introduces you in a lot of different ways… It can speak to your age, lifestyle, etc. without you saying a word! And if you’re like me, you might not get enough sleep, probably don’t drink enough water, have a few late nights a week, and don’t want any of it showing up on your face… Sound familiar? I thought so.

I’ve always loved testing new products, so I was absolutely thrilled when Sephora sent me a variety of their newest products from their Future Naturals shop. And spoiler alert: You can enter win all ten products here!!

Future Naturals is all about natural ingredients that really work! I was happy to learn that a lot of the brands I already know, use, and love are part of this category. Fresh, Boscia, Origins, Caudalie, Ole Henriksen, Josie Maran, and Herbivore, Korres. And a few new-to-me brands, too: Tatcha, Tata Harper, Farmacy, Drunk Elephant, and more. When I asked you what types of beauty posts you wanted to see a few months ago, there were so many of you that mentioned you wanted to see more about beauty with an emphasis on natural ingredients. So here we are!

Let’s get to the good stuff talk about the ten products I’ve been testing (that you can win!), shall we?

Sunday Riley // Luna Sleeping Night Oil

I’ve been on the hunt for a face serum with Retinol to slow the aging and formation of fine lines on my face. I didn’t know much about Blue Tansy, but I was so shocked when it was I put a few drops of the oil into my palm and it was actually BLUE. I may have jumped a little! Blue Tansy (is quite literally blue and) is a next-generation retinoid oil that aims to improved skins plumpness and helps fight the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for visibly clearer, younger-looing skin. It has all of the benefits of an anti-aging retinoid, but it’s much, much more gentle. (Perfect if you’ve got sensitive skin, like me!) I’ve been using this oil every night for weeks now, and I absolutely love it. I had ran out of my beloved Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil right as I received this, and it’s been an excellent substitute. Since the serum is blue and I have all-white sheets and bedding, I’ve been making sure to apply it at least an hour before I lay down to give it time to soak in a bit.

Boscia // Charcoal Pore Pudding

I’ve been a longtime boscia fan so I was extra excited to try this mask. (We all know how much I love me a mask!) I’ve used a few other products in their charcoal line, as well as their purifying line, so I was pretty sure I’d love this pore pudding before I even put it on. The black and white charcoal minimizes the appearance of pores, and the Kaolin Clay helps to detoxify and cleanse the skin without irritation. I apply this mask to clean skin and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. I was worried that my skin would be super dry afterwards, but the formula is surprisingly hydrating, too. I followed with a light moisturizer because I do have pretty dry skin, but it I was pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing it was, in addition to being super detoxifying.

I instantly saw a difference in my complexion after I used this mask just one time! As soon as I rinsed it off, my pores were less visible and my skin looked clearer and more matte. I have another charcoal mask that I’ve used for years (this one!) and while I love it, I think this one is going to be my new go-to. It seems super thick in the jar, but it goes on so smoothly and is SO easy to rinse off after 20 mins. I have to use a washcloth to remove my other charcoal mask, but this one was super easy to rinse off with just water, which felt a lot better for my sensitive skin. (And a lot less redness afterwards, too, since I didn’t have to scrub!)

Korres // Golden Krocus Elixir

This product is actually brand new! It’s a golden elixir that’s infused with the immense antioxidant power of one-day fresh Greek saffron (an anti-oxidant!) to universally correct all visible signs of aging. (So fancy, huh?!) You’ll want to use it morning and night after you’ve cleansed your skin, before applying your serums and moisturizers. Just a few drops of the (golden!) elixir is all you need for a radiant complexion. It’s not a moisturizer and not necessarily a serum, but more so just a skincare booster! It’s so, so soft to the touch… It’s something I’ve been reaching for day after day to give my skin that extra glow. It’s totally doable for oily skin-types, too!

Like most Korres products, this elixir does have a smell to it! I personally love it, I think it’s very spa-like, but if you’re sensitive to smells, I would check the smell before you buy it! (Side note: I do have sensitive skin and tend to have reactions when a product has a strong smell, but I haven’t had any reactions to this elixir!)

Tatcha // Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream

If your skin is prone to redness, you’ll love this product! This hero ingredient of this cream is Japanese Indigo, and you guessed it – it’s another blue-in-color product. Japanese indigo has long been used in Chinese medicine to treat redness and pain. It’s an anti-aging moisturizer for irritated skin, included eczema and psoriasis. While I don’t suffer from either of those, my skin does have a redness tendency. This cream super luxurious to the touch and is made with anti-inflammatory indigo and moisturizing liquid silk to soothe and firm the skin. This blend of botanicals calms sensitive, easily irritated skin and improves visible signs of premature aging. It’s actually formulated with 3% colloidal oatmeal, which is the highest percentage available in a product of this kind on the market.

Use this product after cleansing or exfolatiang! You can use it both morning and night, and apply it alone or over a serum.

Josie Maran // Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter

This time of year, this is the perfect moisturizer for when my face is extra thirsty. In the winter months, I can see myself using this every AM for the moisture I need to get through the dry Chicago winters. I was hesitant to use it during this beautiful 80-degree weather we’ve been having, but it was much more lightweight than I was expecting from the “buttery” title. It provides instant hydration, but nothing too oily. It left my skin soft and smooth and sunk in rather quickly!

Drunk Elephant // B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel

I can see this easily becoming my go-to moisturizer this summer (with SPF layered on top, of course!). It’s extremely lightweight, but ultra hydrating. It has Vitamin b5 (for anti-aging) and a pineapple ceramide that attracts and holds moisture to leave skin looking healthy and illuminated. I was really impressed with how instantly “plump” my skin felt after using this product. For being a gel formula, I didn’t find this moisturizer to be sticky at all. It’s just the right amount of hydration to leave your skin moisturized throughout the day. I only needed 1-2 pumps to last the entire day! I’ve only used this moisturizer in the morning, as I prefer an night oil while I sleep, but I could definitely see myself using this layered over or under a night oil in the drier months.

Ole Henriksen // Truth Serum Collagen Booster

I’ve actually had this serum in my beauty cabinet for a while now! Ole Henriksen Total Truth Eye Cream used to be my go-to and I ended up buying the 3-piece set of this Vitamin C line before a trip to Europe simply so I could have the smaller jar of the eye cream. I was hooked on the three-product combo once I tried them all together, though! The Vitamin-C based formula makes your skin so much brighter! You can tell that it’s high potency after just a few uses. It’s a serum, so be sure to layer your moisturizer on top! It’s recommended for use in the morning, after washing your face, before applying your moisturizer.

Origins // By All Greens Detoxifying Mask

This product is like a two-in-one cleanser and mask! It’s a self-foaming, deep-cleansing clay mask. When you apply it to the palm of your hand, it doesn’t come out like foam. Use a generous amount and apply it all over to your face without rubbing it together in your hands! Once it’s on your face, you’ll feel/see it activating and foaming. Leave it on for a few minutes, then wet the hands and rub in a circular motion to activate the cleanser, and rinse off like normal. It’s recommended to use 1-3 time a week. What’s cool, too, is that you can apply this cleanser/mask right on top of your makeup, you don’t have to wash it off.

Fresh // Umbrian Clay Purifying Facial Toner

If you’ve got oily skin (especially during the summer!), this one’s for you. It’s one part oil-absorbing and one part skin-clearing! It’s surprisingly refreshing, as it didn’t strip my skin of existing moisture. I love applying this in the AM, especially when I know I’m going to be outside or in the sun all day. It’s perfectly mattifying, and acts as a great base before you layer on a moisturizing SPF and makeup. Simply use a cotton pad to gently sweep the beige-hued toner over your face. (Make sure you shake well before using, as the clay settles a bit!)

I really want to try so many of these! Do you have any advice on products that are good for getting rid of acne scars? Or a good night cream for oily skin?
