If you were to look through my (rather extensive) collection of jeans, youโd mostly find designer denim, usually in a skinny fit, in various washes and rises. But nestled along side of the pricey pairs, there is a brand youโll see repeatedly that has a much more accessible price tag. Iโve been wearing Old Navy jeans for years and years and years. The mid-rise Rockstar skinny jeans are my JAM. In fact, theyโre the only white jeans I will wear. I have about 4 pairs! And then there is the pair that I wore all throughout this past fall, with a slightly distressed ankle hem and one single knee slit, that I ended up buying another pair of, you know, just in case.
I am so impressed with all of the new spring washes and styles of the Rockstar Skinny at Old Navy. You know I already have a pair of light grey jeans (last worn here), but I actually picked up a pair of grey skinnies during my last trip to Old Navy because theyโre 100% more flattering on me than the designer pair I already had in my closet!
Old Navy denim is super soft and honestly, such great quality for the price point! Theyโve actually been recently improving the technology of their jeans, too โ like these new โStay-Whiteโ jeans that actually repel stains & spills so they stay white, no matter how messy the day gets. Total game changer, I canโt wait to get my hands on a pair! Thereโs also the new โSculptโ fabric that shapes your bottom half and creates a remarkably slimming fit. Designer-like technology and great fits for a really accessibly priceโฆ You canโt go wrong! In order to keep my jeans routine from feeling stale, I am always on the hunt for cool new ways to wear denim!
Nothing is more essential in your wardrobe than a good pair (or few) of jeans. Iโve always been a denim girl, but working from home has only increased my canโt-go-wrong-with-jeans philosophy. Jeans tend to be my go-to for almost any occasion โ dressed up for a work meeting, my usual travel attire, running errands on the weekend, and even a night out on the town. I love dresses and skirts, but I have a really hard time finding pants that fit me properly so I tend to stick to some type of denim when the occasion doesnโt call for a fancier hemline. Just a little note about the Rockstar Skinny Jean โ Itโs available in a high-rise, a mid-rise, and a low-rise so you can find the fit thatโs best for your body. But, like I said, Iโm usually a mid-rise girl.
Jeans are the perfect foundational piece for incorporating your spring pieces into your wardrobe, even though it doesnโt quite feel like spring yet. February is always that month where I couldnโt be more over the cold, the grey skies, the snow, and the wind. Itโs that point of the winter where getting dressed everyday starts to feel beyond monotonous. It sort of feels like โbeen there, worn that,โ you know? February is usually when I long to update my wardrobe, but I refuse to buy anything thatโs meant for cold temperatures. Iโve got my sights set on spring and thereโs no turning around!
I just picked up this shirt and this sweater and Iโve been wearing the combination of the two non-stop. I bought each piece to wear individually this spring, but the layered look is much more seasonally appropriate for right now.
This boyfriend-style high-low hem shirt is going to get a whole lot of use this summer.. Itโs the quintessential wear-with-white-jeans top that will give you that effortless, but put together look. (Just pair with your favorite sandals and a printed clutch or colored crossbody!) Itโs just the right amount of gauzy without feeling transparent and the extra-long back makes it fun to layer. I can see myself wearing it as a bikini cover-up to the pool and beach this summer, too! Itโs perfectly oversized and super lightweightโฆ A must-have for warm spring days!
The kimono sleeves on this oversized, textured sweater make it so easy to layer shirts underneath, but it will definitely be a stand-out piece once the weather warms up, too. I can picture this sweater with denim cut-offs and boat shoes on a chilly beach day, and also layered on top of my printed floral-print dresses on cool spring mornings. Iโd also love it with a pair of white jeans and leather sandals for an effortlessly chic look!

Loving this, Jess! Is the style of Old Navy High-Low Boyfriend Oxford Shirt that you are wearing an old style? I love the blue stripes but don’t see them online — just the white.
Hi Kelly! Nope, it’s a current style. The striped version I’m wearing is the exact same style as the white one I’ve linked to, I believe the striped color option is just sold out online. I purchased mine about a week and a half ago, so check your local store if you can!
Thanks, Jess! *runs out the door to Old Navy on 18th & 6th*
Love anything and everything from Old Navy too! I’ll have to grab me some new jeans for spring! thanks for sharing, xoxo Julia

Have a wonderful day // http://lifeplusbe.com/
Old Navy is the BEST. I have a few pairs of denim from there, but good to see they really upped the game with the technology of it. I’m also super thankful that we’re out of the ‘low rise’ phase of our lives, ha. Mid rise or high rise forever.
Going to check these out now, so glad you shared, girl!

I LOVE the Old Navy jeans as well, but I am finding they stretch out so bad. Can only get one wearing out of them. Do you find this?
I haven’t found that to be the case at all, honestly! Do you think you need to try going down a size? I do wash my jeans every other wear though, just for sanitary reasons, so maybe that has something to do with it? Let’s be honest though, when do I not spill something on myself? Maybe try the new Sculpt pair since those are meant to suck everything in… I’m interested to hear if those stretch out for you!
i love love LOVE this sweater! you have seriously the BEST sweater collection. xo
