There’s nothing more fun than going to a tree farm to get yourself into the Christmas spirit! I’ve only had a real tree once in my life (back in 2011), and admittedly, we actually got it on the roof garden at Home Depot in Lincoln Park in Chicago. Not so festive, eh? In New York, I was in love with the tree “farms” that would line the sidewalks … Absolutely magical! Since I never had room for a full Christmas tree in NY, I always bought a real wreath to make my little apartments smell like the holidays. This year, I traveled so much during November and December that I opted for a faux tree. Lame, I know. But I went to a little tree farm in the South Loop to pick out a wreath for my place. Highly recommend getting a real wreath or garland if you don’t want to commit to a full tree. It makes the holiday season that much more special each and every time you come home to that fresh pine scent!
PS: Still loving my packable Hunter boots that I bought for a trip to Europe this past spring. They’re oh-so-light and fold up so nicely for travel!
Christmas brings out the kid in all of us… What can I say?

Love this post! And while this scarf seems to be everywhere, you manage to put your own stamp on it with accessories and the great background! Love the idea of just getting a wreath; we skipped a live tree this year too…just too much upkeep!

Jen
