I have been sitting on the fence when it comes to the whole culottes trend over the last few months. Sure, they look cute in a lot of different outfits, but I was never really into them until I randomly spotted a pair at Old Navy few weeks ago (I was shopping for this post…) and decided to try them on. Why not?! Aside from the fact they were only $17.50, they are just SO FUN to wear. Pants so baggy that they feel like PJ’s? Into it! And they almost even resemble a skirt! Plus, they’re high-waisted so you can pair with a cropped top and not even worry about tucking-in. I don’t know what it was, but I felt like a total badass wearing this outfit. Let’s just call them power pants, shall we?
women’s knee-length trousers, cut with very full legs to resemble a skirt.
These hybrid pants are great for the transitional fall weather! I’ve talked before about how I despise wearing pants, but these don’t even require a tailor. (Perfect for all of my shorter ladies out there!) There are tons of ways to style these flattering pants. I’ll be wearing them again on the blog next week so stay tuned! (And I’m sure again this fall with a chunky turtleneck sweater, or a thin turtleneck tee with a long-line vest, or a faux fur vest… The list goes on!)
Oh, let’s talk about sizing for just a sec… These pants run BIG! I’m wearing a small and probably could have worn the XS. Just a little heads up as you’re ordering!
