Gingham Girl

I’ve always been a gingham girl. Of all of the prints in my closet, I’m pretty sure gingham is the most prevalent. Gingham shows up more than all of my other favorite things… More than leopard print, more than sequins, more than polka dots, etc. Gingham is preppy and fun, which pretty much epitomizes how I like to dress majority of the time.

When I saw this silky gingham blouse at C.Wonder, I was immediately smitten. All of my other gingham pieces are your classic woven button-front shirts. I didn’t own anything that was silk gingham so that’s how I rationalized the purchase. Makes sense, right? 😉 (I should probably go sign myself up for Shopaholics Anonymous now…)

By this point, I assume we all know how I feel about navy. Obsessed. Just can’t get enough. When I saw these navy suede lace-up pumps, I about died. Navy shoes are hard to come by, especially a pair under $70. Yep, you read that right — under $70. Thank you, Sole Society.

Love this spin on gingham + that it’s a navy and white look that’s not totally nautical. That is definitely a shirt that you’ll get a lot of wear out of…just in case you needed more of a justification 🙂

I have yet to try the gingham print, however, your styling of it here in this look and others on your blog has inspired me to give it a try! And – can we talk about THOSE SHOES for a moment?! LOVE.

Nice outfit. An eye-catching collection of bright gingham checks launches Spring/Summer 2014 at Thomas Pink. An advertising image from the 1980’s inspired the design team to take the humble gingham check and play with scale and colour to bring it bang up to date.
