Midnight Madness

Merry Christmas Eve! I’m finally mustering up the energy to write a post. Time has flown by even though I haven’t done anything too demanding since I flew out of New York on Saturday morning. I caught up with one of my best friends from growing up on Saturday, went to the Illinois vs. Mizzou basketball game on Saturday night in St. Louis, played with my 1-year old niece all day on Sunday, and had Christmas with my dad’s side on Sunday, too. Monday was spent running errands all over Springfield, IL and I realized a few things…ย 1. I’m over driving. Thought I missed it, but I don’t. At all.ย 2. I forgot how much I hate the radio. Are radio stations this bad everywhere? Seriously, god awful here.ย 3. Where the hell can I get a green juice in these parts?! Or a non-Starbucks latte? #MissYouStumptown Oops, is New York starting to make me a bit jaded? ๐Ÿ˜‰

On a non-bratty note, I am enjoying a nice little break from real life. I haven’t gotten ready at all since I’ve been home. It’s just been loose sweaters, jeans, a beanie, and not a trace of makeup. I actually woke up with what feels like the flu this morning and I wore leggings in public… with UGGs. I’m still cringing about it, but let’s just say that I fit right in at the grocery store! Any who, I am hoping I can kick this bout of sickness before I’m off to hang with my college friends in Chicago on Saturday! Very excited to be ringing in the New Year with them.

In honor of the celebrations ahead, I will be sharing some of my favorite festive dresses on the blog this week! First up, this sequin number from Sail to Sable.

This dress is perfect for any NYE celebration! You can’t go wrong with sequins and I love that the navy blue color is different from the traditional black and gold.ย (Rememberย this timeย that I wore navy blue sequins for NYE?)ย I chose to pair the dress with a classic leopard pump to mix it up a little bit. From there, it was just a few simple gold accessories to let the dress do the talking.

One of my favorite things about vacation is not wearing makeup or doing my hair! Hats are my best friend.

You can never go wrong in full sequins! I just wore a navy, full sequin Michael Kors dress to a wedding. The more sparkle the better!
