“Wait, you’re wearing those in public? Aren’t those pajamas?”
“No, they’re from Zara. The whole pajama thing is in.”
Yep, this conversation happened over the weekend when Lydia was at my apartment. Is “the whole pajama thing” in? Who really knows, but there is a whole lot of overly comfy chic going on. What isย Overly Comfy Chic?ย A term I just made up. Think silk trousers, funky sweatshirts, cool graphic tees, dressed-up track pants, destroyed boyfriend jeans, on-trend sneakers, etc. Apparently we all just want to be comfortable!
I took myย public pajamasย out for a spin this weekend for a casual brunch. It thankfully wasn’t too steamy in the city this weekend, butย these shortsย would have been great to have around during the heat wave. Nice and breezy!

pajama party all.day.long.? yes please. would make life wonderful if pajamas were the norm until it was time to get dressed up to go out. pajamas all day and dresses/heels all night? works for me. pillow fight would be OK too.
Ugh, no fair– I want that exact sequin stripe tank ;p Such a cute outfit!
I love those shorts they’re so cute!

I’m totally all over this trend – any kind of comfy, slouchy pant that I can pass off as wearable in public, I’m for it! Cute subtle mix of prints here too ๐

I was JUST looking at these shorts last night online and added them to my mental wish-list, they look great! I’m all for the “pajama-chic” trend – when fashion is comfortable, it’s a win-win in my book!
Clothed in Confetti
Those shorts are SO cute! I love how you styled them with the denim jacket to contrast with the comfiness of the shorts. Too bad this can’t be a trend picked up for the office….
I think it’s a cute look either way! I love how you paired them with the sequin top and neutral heels. It makes the little pajama party look more dressed up!
So cute!! x
I think this is the perfect summer brunch outfit! Gotta have a jacket on or nearby because AC will kill you if you don’t.

Too cute! PJs are so fashionable now, you can literally wear them right out of the house! I just did a post on PJs under $40 today, and I would definitely wear some of these pieces to more than just bed. You can see my post here
honestly, b.
I’m all about the PJ look [which is funny because I would never go out in public in PJ’s, but this.. I’m into]. Get it, girl.

Out of context, nobody know pjs are pjs unless they’re flannel! They look cute with your jean jacket and fun top!
Luci’s Morsels – fashion. food. frivolity.
These shorts don’t scream pjs at all. Luckily prints and “flowy” are on trend, so this looks stylish!

Yes! I’m in for the PJ’s for day trend this fall. I’m in love with so many printed pants that I’ve seen in the stores. These shorts are super cute, love the bottom detail.

I like the term Overly Comfy Chic! Can I steal it? I think I wore a sweatshirt that was so Overly Comfy Chic in an outfit post yesterday – ha! cute post.

Super cute! Totally workable! <3
Sometimes comfy pieces can be found in daywear, too, but those just look like loose (love that) shorts with an adorable print. Great for day and night, no worries of course.
I, myself, picked up a “nightgown” (apparently) at Marshall’s that was actually the perfect maxi length for short me. I’m so petite that a certain current(?) LC Lauren Conrad dress is taller than I am! I haven’t been able to convince someone to photograph me nex to it yet. Can’ exactly set up a tripod in the Kohl’s. Haha.
Anyway, I love your writing in this post – and your attitude. ๐
I think without the denim jacket, it would really look like you rolled out of bed and went to brunch. But the jacket and your accessories dress it up a little bit. I’m all about this new comfy/cute trend!

Haha! I wish I could say that I slept in sequins..
I LOVE these cute shorts! Just another reason I wish there was a Zara close to where I live. They’re so cute, and paired with the striped sequin top and those bracelets — just a perfect summery little outfit!
