Totally Turquoise

I don’t think I’ve ever worn this much color at once in my entire life! I love bright colors, but I usually pair them with neutrals. When I was putting this outfit together in my head (obvi started with the shoes), I was thinking I would just wear a white tee to tone-down all of the turquoise. But when I started putting the pieces on, the white tee shirt was like a puzzle piece that just didn’t fit. I was really surprised and kind of stuck. I remembered I had this J.Crew sweater from a few years ago that matched the shorts to a T. I put it on and fell in love with what I saw — oodles of color! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been saying that I need to break out of my neutral and black mold for a while now. I knew I had found the pair of shoes to help me do just that when I saw the Lori’s-exclusive Jeffrey Campbell “Shy City” wedges. They aren’t exactly the most comfortable pair of shoes I own, but they are definitely among my favorites!!

I debated between the pink and the blue for quite some time, but ended up going with my new favorite color. Ever since I decorated my room in shades of turquoise, I’ve been obsessed with the color. I’m such a pink girl so I’m still amazed that I bought the blue color.

Can you believe these shorts are from Loft? I absolutely love them! I wandered into Loft during a lunch break and did a double take when I saw them. They are so edgy compared to the merchandise Loft usually has.

My Kate Spade “Date Night” ring is so fun! It’s like a little pom-pom flower. Adorable! I also threw on my J.Crew bracelet (seen here), my Jewel Mint ring (seen here) and some of my silver Tiffany jewelry.

Sweater: J.Crew
Shorts: Loft
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (Lori’s)
Rings: Kate Spade and Jewel Mint
Bracelets: J.Crew and Tiffany & Co
Earrings: Tiffany & Co.

I am in love with those shoes and the whole outfit looks great. My first instict would be to wear neutrals with the blue shoes, but all of the color really is a good look!

They now have the shoes in orange too, but I still think I like blue the best!

I just checked out your blog and you’ve got yourself a new follower! I’m intrigued that you were a lawyer. I planned to go to law school my entire life, then I took the LSAT in June of ’10. I hated the whole process and was getting burnt out with school so I decided law school wasn’t the best option during my senior year of undergrad. Now I’m just trying to figure out what I want to do… (Not easy!)

Yes, you should make sure you love the practice of law and being a lawyer before you go to law school. I wish someone would have told me that! I enjoyed parts of it, but not all. I feel like I’m in a constant state of trying to figure out what I want to do next so I understand! I’m happy to discuss anytime if you like! And, thanks so much for checking out my blog! xx
