The New Place – Bedroom

My bedroom decor scheme is probably my favorite part of the new apartment. A year or two ago my mom was thinking of redo-ing her bedroom and had this color palette in mind, but she didn’t end up doing it. I’ve been obsessing over the aqua and bronze look ever since. Needless to say, she had a field day decorating my room. Here are some “before” pictures…

I freaked out when I got to my apartment before the moving truck to take some before pictures. It looked SO small. I was convinced that the rooms shrank since we viewed the apartment and that our furniture wouldn’t fit. But it all did thankfully!!

First off, this is my favorite picture by a landslide. I am absolutely in love with this chair. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I found this chair and it set the palette for the rest of my room. When I found it my mom said, “It definitely fits you. It’s very prissy.” Thanks Ma! 🙂
How great is this rug too?? My mom found it in a catalog. It pulls everything together. I’m obsessed with the vase, too. I love how my mom combined the blue/green hydrangeas (one of my favorites!) with the pussy willows. So creative!

My bed is incredibly taller than I realized. I kind of have to jump to get in. The only bummer of my room is that I’m on the west side of the apartment so I don’t get any natural sunlight. I’m also like a foot from the house next to ours so I hate to have my blinds open because it is kind of creepy. I legitimately can watch the TV in their kitchen if I wanted to. Yikes.

I wish you could see how cool this mosaic mirror is. It’s very intricate and unusual.

My mom paired these amazing beaded and sequined leaves with this vase — very cool.

My mom actually put the peacock feathers backwards facing my room because they pick up more of the browns in my room. I never would have thought to do that!
